Midwest Mission Distribution Center (MMDC) is sending disaster relief supplies after the devastating hurricane and are in need of heavy duty trash bags or contractor bags, shampoo (12-19oz bottles), or donate funds to help purchase bulk supplies.  Just put “Helene” in the memo of your check to Trinity UMC.  Donations will be taken to the MMDC  collection site in Jefferson, IA, after October 16th.
 
We are  collecting food (weather appropriate and no glass) and personal care (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, q-tips, toilet paper and female sanitary products) items to help replenish St. John’s Blessing Box.  Some items needed include: Peanut butter, canned or foil pouch meats like tuna or chicken, canned fruits and vegetables (prefer with easy open/pop-tops), cereal, oatmeal, crackers, granola bars, ramen noodles, nonfat dried milk, pancake mix (add water only), snack cups (jello, pudding), coffee, drink powders, salt, pepper, sugar and spices.  Items will be collected through November 3rd and we will deliver them the first week of November.
 
Mobile Food Pantry- the youth will be volunteering at the Mobile Food Pantry at Floyd County Fairgrounds on November 6th, December 4th, February 5th and April 2nd.  Adults from the congregation encouraged to volunteer also!  Let Diane Meyer know if you can make it and meet at the fairgrounds at 4:00pm.
 
Trinity Treats- October 31st, 5:30-7:00pm.  This is a fun, safe and WARM way for the families in our community to trick-or-treat inside our building.  If you can’t help that night, we are accepting candy, stickers, pencils, anything you would like us to hand out to the kids as they come through.  Happy Halloween!

Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Meal- November 17th starting at 11:15am.  The Thanksgiving meal will be drive-thru style again this year.  The menu includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes/gravy, vegetable, cranberries, roll and pie.  Free will donation accepted.
 
Decorating the Church for Christmas and Omelet Breakfast- November 24th starting at 11:00am.  Anyone that is available is encouraged to come help decorate the church for Christmas!  There will be jobs for all ages and skills.  We will have an omelet breakfast happening at the same time- come fellowship together!
 
Christmas Program- December 8th during the 9:00am church service.
 
Ladies Extravaganza- December 14th at 6:00pm.  See Ileen Jerdee or Judy Mulcahy to reserve your table!

Middle School UMYF is Wednesday’s, 6:30pm start time with a meal followed by fellowship and lesson from 7-7:50pm.
High School “Snacks with Pastor Don” is the 1st and 3rd Wednesday’s of the month at 8:00pm, after Labor Day.
